"failed to join session because the session is full cs go" when the server isn't full, happens whenever I try to join a steam friend.

as you can read, you cannot join because the session is full.
and i already wrote in the other thread that you pc and internet is most likely to slow.

well, somehow it is, because VALVE SERVERS give you that response.

I have the same problem since as long as I can remember. Whenever I try to join someone from my friendlist in a casual game I get the message "failed to join session because the session is full". This occurs even though the session clearly has less than 20 players in it. All other aspects of the game, matchmaking, joining lobbies etc. work perfectly fine. My internet connection is quite performant (250mb/s) and my PC loads into the games very quickly (gamefiles stored on SSD, 16GB RAM, ...). Also, the error isn't shown after the loading screen, but instantly after I try to join the game.
I already did several integrity checks of the gamecache, and while the first reloaded some files, the following ones didnt. Network wise, I even tested having my PC directly exposed to the internet through a NAT setting, except for some specific port forwards that are needed for other PC's in the network, however this didn't influence the problem as well.
I also tried removing any launch options, which didn't help as well. I appreciate any help on the issue.

I haven't found a solution but I've found when there is a map change I can join the server as usually there's an efflux of people off the server. I presume it's due to a queuing system taking priority over friends.

I have had the same problem. I've never ever been able to join a friend through the "Join Game" option. VALVE PLZ FIX!

I've found that if you keep clicking you'll eventually be able to join. it prioritises people who queue through their system. sometimes it will take 20 times to join. best to try and join at the end of the map/beginning of a new map

Nice of them to tell us this. I seriously dislike this. It's like a big middle finger to people who want to play public with their friends.

I get the same issue too. its only a problem if the friends team you are joining is full, even if the enemy has space.
