Performance gets worse over time (varries)
Hello folks!

When I´ve started playing the game (about 2years ago) I was able to get 120 fps at 1280x1050

I´ve noticed that my fps got less over time. Whenever there was a new update I´ve slightly lost some.. Especially the winter update 2013. It killed my framerate and I had to lower my resolution in order to get stable fps above 60!

Now I´m forced to play on 760x800 (or so) and I had to lower my texture resolution to minimal.

My pc is clean, there is no malware or whatever, and I´m pretty sure that my RAM is not the fault, because he works as supposed in other games.

Any Ideas on how to fix it, and any ideas where this might come from?

Thanks in advance,
Toeli

Do you get random frame drops or is it just low overall?
Do you have any launch options?

I made launch options!
but only the common ones...

It´s been getting lower over time (that´s the problem)
2 years ago I´ve got 120 fps on highest 16:9 resolution.
Now I´m forced to play 760x800 4:3 with low settings...

your pc gets too hot. change the cooling paste on your gpu and cpu

I´ve done that about 2 months ago... It raised my fps to 75, but still only on lowest resolution.

most probably still some kind of thermal issue. do you know if all your fans still work? or maybe add a fan to your case for more fresh air in the case

My fans are alright, I suppose. They haven´t been making problems.

I´m just amazed, because my PC can even run some powerdraining games like BF3 on a high resolution with medium settings.

Normally my PC should be running this game with ease. And he did so, but somehow the performance decreases over time.

It´s just funny that all the other games seem to work.

Anyways, Thank you for the input!

Try using "cl_forcepreload 1" every time you startup csgo, it preloads the maps before they start.
Also can you tell me your launch options?
