Should i attempt to unbox a knife or just buy one?

Im kinda new to CSGO and would like to get a knife. I have around a $100 (CAD) which is enough to unbox like 20 huntsman or chroma 2 cases. So with $100 (CAD) should i unbox 20 chroma 2 or huntsman cases or just buy a $100 knife? Oh and if I were to unbox huntsman or Chroma 2 or both

Find out what knife you want and buy it. Unboxing until you get the knife you want will most likely take you 100 x the amount of money.

Open 5 boxes, if you get nothing buy it. I got a butterfly knife fade from my first box, you never know ^^

Look for a knife you like, watch the market for a few days, and when a good price appears, Inspect it in game, and buy. If you have more than a few dollars left over you can try unboxing some good skin, but I have opened about 15 chroma 2 cases and have got nothing better than an AWP Worm God.

This isn't like TCG games where a set amount of packs is guaranteed to give you something nice.
This is programed luck and it's definitely not on your side for a mass majority of the time.
You could get a knife after spending $1000 USD or you could get one from 5 cases but the chances of getting one in the 5 cases are extremely low.
Knives are not in mass quantity so that should already give you the math on luck.
Just buy one from the market.

Ok so it seems like most of you are saying I should buy, any knives you would reccomend $100 or less (CAD)

Depends, if you get lucky you could get 7500 dollar knife from first case. You could also use 7500 dollars on cases and get 750 dollars back. It's all about luck. Just like lottery.
