CS:GO Character still moving after releasing a move key
Okay so this is the opposite of any movement delays out there... whenever I press the movement keys... WASD... they work perfectly, but when I released one of them, specially the W key, my character keeps on moving forward for about 2-3 seconds... it always happen when I am holding the W key for about 10 plus seconds, and after releasing it, there goes my character, moving forward... I'm trying to press the S key, backward movement, to stop him from moving forward but it doesn't help... The problem occurs on every mode, competetive, casual, etc... not sure if the same thing will happen with bots tho I haven't tried it yet... I'm connected to the internet using a LAN cable... and my speed is 105 mbps... please help! This problem never happened before.

I thought input lag is when I press the key, then my character movement delays... but in my problem it's the opposite... whenever I release the key, my character kept on moving for 2-3 seconds

if able to. change movement keys to diff keys and test in a private match and see if u get the same problem. maybe your WASD keys are sticking slightly? no idea but changign the keys to test may help narrow down the issue

also u do not stop on a dime when u let go regardless which is why people tend to tap opposite dirrection when they want to stop moving. but u say 2-3 seconds so doesnt sound like thats the issue

Releasing a key is also an input. Since its can caused by many things, even vga driver settings, its can be very weird. Once i had input lag only on my shift, what i use for crouching. :) Who knows my friend.

You might want to try checking your keyboard repeat rate / repeat delay settings from Control Panel (if using Win)
