The thing about DFX that kind of stands out though, is that it allows you to boost your maximum volume level to beyond what your headphones could normally achieve.
Normally you would not need something like that as it could cause damage to your headphones, but when I used to play Black Ops 2, I noticed that the volume levels ingame was much lower than with other games, so using DFX made it possible to play at the volume levels I was used to with the other games.
I'm using Bloddy G501 and it comes with an awesome enhancer but I just wanted to share this one with other people who has cheap headphones. :)
More info can be found here - http://www.bloody.com/usa/products.php?pid=12&id=16
Most of the audio optimizing programs like Razor surround too, rise the hearing volume levels higher for all headphones. considering it cheating is kinda nonsense though, since it just "takes back" the amount of difference what you have compared to even more priced headsets.
You made my day. :D :D :D :D
I never said that. Learn to read, you stupid troll.
I do understand your passion for the definite language written in the EULA of VAC, but the definition also means that people would get an real advantage over other people.
difference in hardware/hearing isnt a real advantage. its something anyone can achieve with either money or optimizing their hardware, thats why its not considered at least in my mind, fitting to the description.
They do notably that using 3rd party programs to get REAL advantage (seeing trough walls, aimbots, aim assists, recoil compensation scripts etc) advantage means things that are not normally achieved with your own setup (Better FPS, better hearing, etc are all achieved with your own computer setup and optimizing) and not directly affecting your aim or seeing, or giving an real advantage over others. setting up audio to hear better doesnt fit the description for "having an advantage" over other players, since other people might already have it as a hardware advantage. same with people with better computers. thats why its not part of that definition and not considered cheating.
the key phrase is "modification to a game"
Basically this is saying anything that hooks directly into the game (DLLs and other such hacks, or other programs that inject code directly into a game (CS:GO in this threads instance) is a hack. Programs that sit in the background passively doing there own thing that are not directly affecting the game itself are not considered a hack.
Examples of instances that give an unfair advantage; aimbot, wallhack, noclip, infinite ammo, rapid fire, speed increase, god mode,ETC
The thing with this particular instance, is that the program (DFX) is not directly affecting CS:GO, but the entire system. In a way, its like hardware emulation. And there is honestly nothing wrong with emulating hardware so that you can play a game better. Following that logic, it would be perfectly fine to get a brand new computer that isnt all that amazing and play with lag, but its totally against VAC EULA if you go and tweak your system performance.
Anyway, i wont go on any longer, i think i made my point. I know im gonna get hate messages ranging from "Triggered" to "Necro" but i really dont care, i couldnt resist pointing this out xD it made me laugh and shake my head from pure nonsense. Then again, welcome to the internet
