First thing I noticed was the brightness. It’s like the game is washed. I play with my brightness on 80. It was suggested to play on 50 but found 80 was most comfortable and looked best for me and my setup. Keeping my fingers crossed as things progress with the game and it gets more polish
atleast atm, this gets even said in the video....
you just proofed my point thx
"CS2 has a raytracing option, but it's reserved for mappers."
You're just showing that you're not able to make sense of the information you're getting.
"the game might not have it but the map editor does" how hard is it for you to undestand that currently CS2 has no raytracing build in ONLY the map editor has
"CS2 doesnt support raytracing but the map editor does "
and using raytracing to bake lighting is still not raytracing in cs2 it only looks like it on static objects
its a fancy way to have "realistic" static lighting on your maps without using real raytracing ingame which would reduce the fps by quite a lot
you just shown you want to "sound" smart but simply have no idea what you are talking about
Was ray tracing used, yes. Did the developers make settings for it, yes. Are you the one who doesn't understand anything here, yes.
No one said there was a switch for raytracing in the game, but I strongly suspect that's what you mean.
Used correctly, this can add value, but in a competitive game I wouldn't sacrifice a single frame for it.
But with enough frames, I'd be happy to see it look like this.

cs2 the game has no raytracing support
cs2 maps use baked lighting ( as you said yourself ) not raytracing
how does raytracing in the map editor effect the "bad graphics" in cs2 if they are 2 different things?
how can you litterly disprove your own points and yet claim i am the one talking bs?
the raytracing in the map editor is only for real time lighting visualtion to help the devs create "real" lighting using the same technology used in source 1
"As of today, Ray tracing tech is only used for Hammer (to preview your lighting in the 3D view rather quickly, and to simply build the lighting with VRAD, similar to how it's been done for Source 1 but better)
I don't think there is anything yet regarding ray tracing in game (AO/GI is baked on lightmap and probes, shadows use Cascaded Shadows like in CSGO but with more sources, reflections are cubemaps/ScreenSpaceReflection ...)"
the raytracing in hammer is only a PREVIEW nothing more cs2 maps use 0 raytracing
you said there is a raytracing setting in cs2 and i told you there isnt ( thats a fact )
and now you claim i am talking about a something you can switch off
you derailed your own post, tried to gaslight someone while disproving your own points
10/10 communications skills right there
I really try so hard to play it, but i cant...and my country it is in the worst moment in its history, 0 chance to improve my PC. Not more CS for me, for a time...
personally i stick to medium settings with a touch of antialiasing so things dont look all jagged. i find 4:3 1440x1080 to be a great res on my 24inch 144hz benq performs great and still looks okay not horrible. running on a 4690k and gtx970 200fps on most maps. couple maps get drops to around 160. i only play 144hz long as im above 144 i dont care about fps lol.
