The graphics of CS2 isn't that great?
CS is a lot of fun and I'm glad there's finally an update for the engine. However, the graphics of CS2 are not that impressive for me. It's better compared to CS:GO, but compared to other games, even older ones, it's more like catching up.

The lighting often looks very good indoors, but is often disappointing outdoors, where it mimics sunlight or daylight. The developers should improve their ray tracing settings, as other games without ray tracing do better.

After a few rounds of CS2 I hardly care about the graphics, I concentrate on the game itself.
I could just as easily be playing CS:GO and not notice, but CS:GO has much better visibility.

I also find that playing CS2 for long periods of time is harder on the eyes, which is not the case with CS:GO. The overly bright areas and sometimes washed out colours all from one palette don't help either, and the overemphasised contrast adds to the problem. Sure, it's a beta, but that's exactly why it should be talked about, and right now the focus is on the graphics. I only had a brief hype before playing it myself.

1. cs2 doesnt use raytracing
2. the increased brightness might cause your eyes to hurt after a while i recommend turning it down a bit
3. cs2 is a competetive game so they need to balance performance and visuals, most AAA games go for a 60 fps target cs2 gets like 300fps on the same hardware
4. alot of people are already complaing about cs2 being to demanding because csgo was running on 10+ year old hardware with like 500 fps and now they "only" get 100-200 fps with the same old hardware

for the rest of your text, if you think so :D
Graphics is good.
MODELS are bad.
Player models / hand viewmodels are bad looking.
Also movement animations.
Valve/Nexon released 10 years ago Counter-Strike 2 for Asian region with perfect player movement animations. Why not just porting them into CS 2?

- They care much more about framerates compared to most devs/publishers, you gotta keep this in mind.

- Lighting probably isnt compiled on best possible settings as that tends to take several days per map and they're technically still developing this game

- It certainly doesn't look bad & a lot is actually Photogrammetry (take lots of photos from a object from multiple angles, use that to get a VERY high res 3d model, bake that to something game-ready) so its weird to see you claim that its bad quality, are you sure its not just simplifying graphics for your machine to hit its preferred crazy high framerates?

- In my humble opinion the visibility in CS2 is actually MUCH better then it was in CS:GO, the fact that you even say you dont pay attention to the graphics anymore after a few rounds is a GOOD thing, it means you're paying attention to the game lol. Also the higher contrast is again a GOOD thing, you don't want your enemies to just blend into the environment making you lose the match right?

- Right now the focus seems to be finding the right settings (for timing etc) that work for most people, plus they are probably also testing this so called "Vac Live" thing.

Dude come on, that asian version (CS:NEO) is just a clone of CSS for arcades that has nothing to do with the main franchise and is not noteworthy at all, it just adds all sort of random trash to the game because these Nexon people are stupid and don't respect their customers or the IP they leased, nothing of that is "better than CS2" by any means, please dont ever make that claim again...

I agree the contrast, brightness and saturation are dog especially on mirage/inferno

Menu settings like brightness don't do anything so they clearly are leaving it like this sadly, prefer csgo lighting and colours

That's such a problem, on the one hand it looks totally overdrawn and on the other hand a color mash develops where you can hardly distinguish one from the other, to put it exaggeratedly. As I said, I don't know this from CS:GO, which is why I mention it.

The fact that I don't pay as much attention to the graphics after a few rounds could also be due to the fact that they are not as important for the game as other aspects. Or maybe I don't find the graphics as distracting, or maybe I don't notice them as much during the game because they're the same cards I've been playing for years. Conjecture.

Im not complaining, just confused about what you said, as it turns out you didn't realize that the website you link is completely fake and not related to Valve in any way, please don't give them your credit card details or anything like that okay!?!?

Edit:
After looking at the website some more, i've just reported your post asking steam moderators to delete that link, seriously dude, uninstall that sh*t before it starts mining bitcoin or locking your files or whatever the crazy hell this software actually does, it has no relation to CS2 or Valve at all & smells all kinds of extremely shady, get that sh*t off your computer asap!!!

Ask about it Valve and site owner, not me.
I said how in a game that came out 10 years ago, the graphics, models and animations look better than in the game of 2023? In CS:GO (CS2) everything looks terrible - animations, models, overbrighten maps.

Okay so are you actually involved in this scam or? how can you claim it looks better when its cleary Source1 and clearly CS:NEO files thrown together with L4D2 files and some retextures?!?! and lower quality enviornments etc??? this has just become pretty damn suspicious sir, maybe stop trying to scam people into installing this virus or whatever the hell it is.

First of all, there is no scam in this link, thousands of people are playing this game.
Second - we are talking about game animations and you're trying to take the conversation in a completely different direction.
I already posted the gameplay part, where the animations, from previous CS game from Valve is looking alot better than in a game that came out in 2023.
