cs2 - mouse cursor always shows on screen

when i get into a game my mouse cursor always shows on my crosshair, alt-tabbing fixes it temporarily but not always. any ideas?

Mine is resolution based. Setting my resolution to native gets rid of the mouse but having something like 1280x960 causes it :((

I found a "solution". On Nvidia Settings, I've set up that when using a lower resolution, the screen should not rescale and instead center the image and set black bars. Then in the game, set a lower resolution. This way the game renders "native" and the gpu does not upscale, and the mouse never shows up!

This may sound stupid at first but how do i get it to appear?
Its basically a crosshair on snipers
