It's an upscaling technology from AMD. It will render the game in a lower resolution then apply it's sharpening/upscaling for try and reclaim the lost resolution giving you higher fps.

It's only fsr 1.1 from what I'm aware, FSR 2 is out and is much better, will probably be added later.

Only need to use if you are struggling with fps.

I have a 4090 laptop GPU

Should I try it?

I'm getting 300fps with like all high settings atm

Not harm in trying it, 300 FPS is more than enough though so I don't think you're the intended target market.

To be honest although it will increase your fps I'd image it would introduce (a tiny) bit of input lag/latency.

It doesn't work like that, the higher the FPS the lower the latency.

So if fsr increases the FPS your GPU can render, by reducing the resolution, the latency is also reduced.
