Is there a physical copy of this game?
Title. I've googled it and I never saw any results or a photo of the box. I've heard it was a digital only release in the US but I wanna be sure, because I'm kind of a physical copy gamer.

I don't think I can get it now, and then activate a CD key later.

Sadly, I don't believe so. Valve hasn't been too keen on the physical distribution side of things since The Orange Box / Portal 2.

Using their own distribution platform (steam) they can get 100% of the profits too, as opposed to hacking a portion of their sales to physical retailers.

So I can just get this with no worry about finding a physical copy with an unused CD Key later?

The only way it'd be unused is if the package is sealed.

You can buy a physical, outdated copy.
it contains a CD-Key and an DVD with an outdated backup.
You'll get good deals on amazon, My friend bought his copy for 399 INR.
around 6$

Wait, I'm confused. I got one of you telling me Steam didn't release a physical copy

and then I got another one of you saying they did.

They have Physical copy, the DVD contains the backup of CS:GO that you need to restore using Steam client.
If some said there is no Physical copy, they might have meant that it's not DRM free.

I did say that I didn't quite believe so, as Valve has not used physical copies for PC releases in years, and that they're novelties of pre-2011.

I cannot confirm Rudresh's comment.

Amazon currently lists it as unavailable in the links that you provided, save for the one with a foreign currency that I can't say I recognize.

It's not that hard to use google.

One link says unavailable, the other is expensive as ♥♥♥♥. Nobody says anything about a box, and whatever that currency is, it's not US dollars.

That's because of this comment's accuracy.

I don't think they are making any more physical copies or CD-keys for the game.

There seems to be a case of fatal miscommunication going on here. Rudresh is based in India, so of course the currency he will default to will be rupees. What I believe the OP wants is a boxed, physical copy of CS:GO.

Which as far as I know is unavaiable.
Dr. Zoidberg Aug 23, 2015 @ 9:02pm
OP wants to know if there is a physical copy, it exists.
1) it's out of stock. re-stocking is next to impossible.
2) it's not out of stock for my region. and is region locked.

if this what you're saying, then i don't think we're miscommunicating.
