CS:GO Ping spikes since windows 10 update, please help!
Recently upgraded to win 10, massive ping spikes since. running lenovo t430s laptop, intel hd 4000 onboard graphics, normally get 100fps give or take and 30 to 50 ping and no lagging or stuttering. I have done all the suggested things, uninstalled and updated graphics drivers, clean install of cs go, turned off all the suggested issues associated with win 10 eg location off, p2p updates, xbox something etc etc.

normal gameplay gives me 100 fps and 30 to 50 ping (on netgraph) but when i get ping spikes my ping reached almost 300 (also on netgraph) and causes major stuttering/lag for a few seconds, then dissapears. repeats again randomly every 5 min or so

It seems alot of people having the same issue but no common fix, any help will be greatly appreciated.

ive also tried running as admin, no luck, please help....

I've been having the same issue, ping is usually 10-20, jumps to 40-50 randomly for a few seconds every couple minutes or so. I know 40-50 isn't that bad but when your laptop gets 30-40 fps it makes a difference. I've tried to make fixes to my router and computer including a full reset of Windows 10, but to no avail.

Close all programs, then open command prompt, and type "ping google.com -t". Observe the times you get for about a minute. This is your latency, and if it spikes then you know for sure you have a problem. For example, during my ping test before I updated my wifi drivers, I had a regular time of 10-15 ms, but sometimes it jumped up to around 300 ms.

If that is happening to you, then check out the link that I posted. For me, the problem was that Windows 10 wasn't very compatible with my wifi drivers, so I had to reinstall them, and then everything was okay.

If you don't want to reinstall the drivers, you can also do that registry edit that is mentioned in the article. I didn't test this out, but you may want to give it a try if you don't want to change your drivers. There are some disadvantages to the edit, so read the warning carefully and make sure you save the link somewhere in case you want to undo the change.
