64 tick is ridiculous
I am LE and lately I have been noticing more and more that I just cannot kill people on 64 tick servers (as in MatchMaking and valve deathmatch)

I started practicing and pistol only/headshot only 128 tick community servers a while ago and I've been getting pretty good at aiming, I usually have the most kills on the server when the match is over. But whenever I play on a 64 tick server everything feels sluggish, the hit reg is terrible, the hitboxes are almost always off.

It feels like controlling your spray does literally nothing, it feels like you have to wait a full second after you stop moving to be able to shoot accurately and it feels like you have to take more time between shots or else your bullets go all over the place..

Is this just all in my head? Is there some kind of playstyle I need to adopt? Somebody please help me

I play only 64tick so i can't see the difference. I tried 128tick and i was about to cry so i better play only 64tick to stay adapted to it.

It feels like controlling your spray does literally nothing, it feels like you have to wait a full second after you stop moving to be able to shoot accurately and it feels like you have to take more time between shots or else your bullets go all over the place..

This is all in your head. There's obviously worse hitboxes in 64 tick vs. 128, especially jumping hitboxes. But everyone on the server is dealing with the same thing... Not like you're the only one affected.

It's probably not just the tick-rate but the server load and bandwidth usage as well. At the same time part of it may well be phsycological. You'll probably play worse if you are constantly worrying about things like this.

Youre right it is ridiclous, valve say theyre working on it since june when they broke their silence after a player shown a full clip being emptied into a player planting a bomb. The pros from adren to olofmeister have been complaining too (about jjumping , planting and moving hitboxes). Tick rate has NOTHING to do with hitboxes, being on 128 tick DOES NOT MEAN that the hitboxes are magically gonna get fixed....other wise olomeisters awp shot wouldve hit on LAN vs nerd rage.

this shows u that where u shoot (impacts) dont match up with client side to server side even on lad with minimal ping whilst strafing ! so its like a lottery when strafing :D

HITBOXES ARE BROKEN
the only exception is theyre much less broken on LAN with 5 ms and no server (but still broken)
on 128 tick or 64 tick theyre broken.

Source 2 with a new netcode is the only solution but im skeptical, we will have to wait and see.

there is a difference. 128 tick is smoother and hit registry is more likely to be more accurate ALTHOUGH IT DOES NOT magically fix hitboxes !!!! if there is a bug or the hitboxes are skewed whilst planting , on a ladder, jumping, strafing , running and or crouching from different angles you can have 1000 tick on 1 ms ping and it still wont solve the issue because its a bug (code is broken in both netcode and the actual game it self). If that was the case we would never see hit reg issues in pro games but as i posted above (olofmeister with fnatic vs nerdrage ) awp failed to register? it was 128 tick with no server and 5 ms ping ! so the answer is the game is broken not tick rate :D . hope this helps

nothing to do with tick rate! 64 ticks is good enough! if the netcode and the hitboxes where on point we wouldnt be having this discussion. the reason the hit rgistry fails is because what u see on ur screen is off or slightly (in some cases immensely skewed) so when u register a hit ur side the server see s something else just like my first video i posted about planting hitboxes ....when u put them split screen it doesnt match ! like i said u can have 1 million ticks ....if they dont match u aint hitting squat ! :D

also dont forget that u cannot hit 100% of the model! so it does get deceptive sometimes (other than the dead on shots) u can maybe only hit 80% of the csgo model to regsiter a hit maybe less the T model you can hit 85% of the model
there is huge deception in the game coupled with the broken hitboxes it doesnt make for a competetive experience on certain servers when these things go against u more so on some servers than others!

this has definately brought the skill ceiling down alot! as we should be able to do head shots deliberately and not by chance in certain situations that interfere with it! day in day out i.e serverside hitboxes not matching client side, server performance (yes even 128 tick servers are laggy! and bad just as much as 64 tick servers!) .
