custom resolution (16:9 lower than 1280x720?) HALP
i have integrated graphics (hopefully gonna change soon) and whenever i set the launch option to go 1024x576 (-w 1024 -h 576) it goes stretched because the closest resolution is 1024x whatever stretched res it is... how can i stop this or create a custom res?

thanks for the suggestion, but it just went stretched again... to the lowest resolution there is.
It goes stretched since anything possible, but lower than 1280x720 goes to 4:3 aspect ratio mode with lowest resolution possible.

..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg\video.txt

Open the file, then change this:
"setting.aspectratiomode" "0" (0 = 4:3, 1 = 16:9)

P.S. As you can see, you can change the width and length in that file as well.

Did you enter the width and height in the correct command lines within the file?

As a fellow (assuming you're still using Intel) integrated graphics user, I've tried that before and didn't work. But what did work was to create a custom resolution in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel (if you have Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel, it should still be fairly similar). Open up the control panel, go to Display > Custom Resolutions. Click Yes, and enter your desired width, height, and refresh rate (I've tried to put 854x480 but for whatever reason it changes by itself to 856x480, which is no big deal). The next time you launch CS:GO, the resolution you picked will be shown in the Resolution dropdown menu in the CS:GO video settings.
