How to convert 800 dpi to 400 dpi and in game sens

I bought a new big mousepad and now my 1.7 in game sens and 800 dpi feels to fast how do you convert it to 400 dpi and the game sens so it does not feel different?

Your dpi can only be changed using your mouses settings, almost all gaming mice have either a software suite or a button on the mouse that changes the dpi between preset amounts (usually 400,800,1600,3200). The in game sensitivity is just a multiplier, for example 400 dpi on 2 sense is 800. If your mouse pad makes your settings feel too high just gradually lower the in game sense till it feels natural, there is no way to know the exact difference in dpi to make your new mouse pad feel like your old one.
