People who spin in spawn

Why has Valve not fixed the problem of people afking in spawn to derank yet?
They just sit in spawn with a script that spins them around and it makes it so that they don't get kicked for afking.
It's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ being queued with one of these guys.

First of all, it's not a script. It's a console comand (+left or +right, sometimes paired with +forward) and everything you can do through console commands is Valve-approved.

Second, you can report them for griefing if they don't do it in a 5 man lobby.

3rd - report for griefing works in such cases for 100% guarantee. Believe me.

I would kick the person 10/10 times, even if I would get banned for doing it. Unfortunately that's not possible because the team all voted NO!?? And they just kept playing and told me to ignore that guy, that it was no problem and to chill...

Problem is if he has buddies ingame then you can't get them kicked. Also griefing will happen if enough players in a match report him. And for griefing only teammates can report. I believe possibly overtime if enough report the same player for the same thing then it can also lead to overwatch.

If overwatch it can be fairly fast. I reported a guy cheating, and within a couple days had s message that said a player I reported was banned. Knew who it was and went to the match and his profile and sure enough he now had a ingame ban that was 0 days old at the time.

So you played, unfortunately, with stupid teammates. I doubt they were his mates, unless they had only 4 man lobby, and didnt want to look it too obvious for deranking.
Thus, you have 2 options:
1 - abandon the match (if low level cooldown), but I would advise just to run & die in this case
2 - I would advise to disregard point 1, and play at your best, so your elo counts

Plus. I believe it is not about how many teammates will report (I think 1 report is enough for the case to be reviewed), it is more likely about how many report he collected in total over the certain time, maybe even all reports up to this point.
Yesterday, I did OW case, where 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wanted skins for carrying. It was obvious, dont ask me how. He griefed for 3 rounds, and today he got minorly.
So, OW works, better or worse, but it works.

No. 1 report will not send it for ow. if that's how it worked, 70% of ow would be that and half of that would be false spam report. It wokrs just like cheating; a user gets multiple reports either within a short amount of period or in general and then it is sent to ow.

If it was casual why do you care?
If it was in compt then kick him and you said that his mates voted no. Are you sure he wasn't just afk? (Whenever i have to do something that requieres me to go afk for a few rounds; bathroom, emergencies, etc. I type in console +left or something so I don't get kicked from the match for being afk. I don't go afk all match though I only go afk for like 5 rounds at most and people always ♥♥♥♥♥ about me spinning and wanting to kick me but they think im trolling or deranking but I am legitametly afk.)
If he was spinning all match then simply report him and try your best so you keep your elo intact.
