Mechanical keyboards worth it?
Heyo, I'm considering buying a mechanical keyboard (probably the K70, red switches) but I was wondering if it is really worth the 140 euro's. If any of you own a mechanical keyboard let me know please.

Don't go for the K70, it's overpriced as hell at 140 €. For that price you can get a DasKeyboard Model S Professional or Ultimate, way better build quality and durability.

And yes, mechanical keyboards are totally worth it if you use a keyboard a lot.

I have the smaller K65 with Cherry Red switches and it's great, they are very well made, have been using it every day for the past 12 months and no problems at all. I didnt go for the K70 though as i thought the price was a bit high, and i find the numpad and flashy lights kinda pointless and not worth paying twice the price of the K65 for.

As for Mechanical keyboards in general, i would never use anything different now ive had one, and definately worth it.

edit: thats the K65 Vengeance, not the new one, which has flashy lights, lol.

The build quality of the frame still changes the way the keyboard sounds and feels, I would never go for a cheap mechanical keyboard, friend of mine recently got one with MX Blacks for like 40 € and it sucks :P Really really cheap build

I have a k70 and got no regrets :D the only downside to having mechanical keyboards is when you need to use someone else's computer, with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ frame keyboard.

I'm fine with any Cherry switch, they all have their special thing that they are the best at.

I bought the corsair k90 veneance back in july 2012 for 110€ish.
And ever since I've been using it for atleast 4-6 hours a day. Still works like a charm.
