Can't start a single player private match? (Solved)
I was trying to start a single player match since VALVe removed the "custom" lobbies. But when I try, the start button doesn't appear

Maybe this isn't the game for you. The game isn't programmed for that. It's up to the workshop map makers to make a map suitable for you. Have you subscribed to any of the current workshop maps? You can choose casual or deathmatch or wingman. It's up to you.

You made a thread wanting to play single player CS

I'm questioning whether you know about opening a workshop game

Workshop games are single player matches.

As in a workshop map?
Yes, that's what you seem to want, single player CS.

I am trying to be able to customize the lobby more, workshop maps seem to do the opposite

More than whats one the sidebar, something like how many bots, or difficulty, or starting money
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Maybe the bot AI will get more developed in the future. I do not want the option to change the difficulty of the bots. I like how they are or could be random.

okay, thank you. Gifted you some steam points
Bots personalities and behaviors should be random, to keep you guessing and to make playing with bots more like playing other humans, since humans are random generally.

Yes there is no bot difficulty setting in the UI and you can't choose how much bots there should be and you can't change most settings that you could change in CS:S/CS 1.6 in the UI.

You can only do so via commands (only after you've loaded into the game though — don't execute them in the menu):
bot_quota
bot_difficulty
mp_startmoney (I don't remember this one exactly actually)

Regarding bot_difficulty — I don't think it actually does anything, haven't noticed any change; bots seem to be broken in a lot of ways right now. :(
