old cs accounts

Hello i saw a lot of 15-16-17 years old steam accounts .
My question is CS was free at that time or why there are a lot of accounts inactive.

People bought half life 1 in 1998/1999 and used WON, that was the system before the client called steam was implemented. CS was a mod of Half life, when you bought half life you got CS. When you wanted to play CS only, you also had to buy Half life. In 2003 valve shut down WON and gave us Steam. Many people like me liked WON more and they created NO-WON, a community made WON system. This was shut down in 2005.

Many people have 15-17 years old accs because they played CS since then and created a Steam account between 2003 - 2005.

I myself played on WON from 1999 til 2003, No-WON from 2003-2005 and created my Steam acc of my main in early 2005. My second main acc I created was in mid/end 2005 but I had HL twice since 1999.

A lot of people are older than 30 and thus also have an old account.

Oh and what people might think: Yes there are also plenty of accs bought on third party sites. This is against te terms of service tho so don't do it.
