I love the game but can't motivate myself to play it and try my hardest every game because there's always a cheater who will go blatant and win without making any effort despite all my real effort. It makes me play worse even when there are no cheaters, because I know that at any point somebody might toggle and everything I do will become futile, and that drags me down really hard.
and with such mentality why even try? why even start queuing for a match?
at least this is the biggest factor which keeps me personally from being addicted.
maybe this way of thinking will help you prevent yourself from being addicted too.
If you're addicted to it, that might be to hard to do at first so try to find a therapist to help you with your addiction.
Also talk to your friends and tell them you want to take a step back from CS so they might be able to help you spend your time differently.
Meet up with other students to study regularly so it makes it harder to not study (helps all off you).
Addiction is not easy to beat so be aware off setbacks and don't let them crush you, those happen to everyone fighting addiction. Don't just give up and don't let anyone online talk you back into it. You decided playing this game is bad for your life so you have to stop playing.
