is there a way to access your inventory in-game?

for example sometimes i want to switch between the m4s during competitive or when i need to switch between the tec-9 and the cz. I know that you can disconnect, change loadouts and then reconnect within 3 minutes but is there a way to do it without disconnecting?
I'm pretty sure it's client-side and can be adjusted with a simple .cfg or changing a cvar.

Yes go to the menu and press inventory to switch guns, but you have to be dead :P

No, you can't.
The only time you can do that is during Warm-Up.
