You cannot grab an IP directly from the competitive match, however, If the IP has been documented online and tagged alongside something like an alias which matches the user, they can use that to find said IP and then commit a DDoS attack. Another way, which is simular, is browsing the user's profile page for information and then finding the users account on a service which is resolvable, such as skype, and then using the result of the search- the user's IP, as a target for DDoS. However, both of these attacks are preventable.
I think your pretty ignorant for not knowing a booter can just ddoss the server everyones on without having to do all that pain in the ass research. Ppl ddoss casual servers all the time for the lols. Its happened to me at least 10 times.
