Minimap problem glitch...

So, every time I try to shift+tab when I'm dead my minimap takes up the whole screen. It can be closed out in Casual if I spam ESC, but in comp it stays up. It has something to do with my shift button I think. It also ONLY happens when I'm dead. Anyone have this problem and/or even better know how to fix this? Please and thanks.

Agreed. It's frustrating as heck. It has something to do with the shift key. When I tab+shift nothing happens. I can do that repeatedly. When I shift+tab however, it happens. Again, only when I'm dead and spectating.

you cant open the map when you are live.
and default key to open the map when you are dead is shift.

Which key do you use to open the map? Find that key, and re-allocate it to another one of which you are not already using.

EDIT: I'm a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot, this is a visual bug, not an issue to do with binds.

EDIT 2: Temporary solution, whenever this bug occurs, type 'hideradar' in console, then 'drawradar'

I thought so! I didn't think it had something to do with keybindings since there is no radar key. :(

I thought so! I didn't think it had something to do with keybindings since there is no radar key. :(

Yeah, I was reading the posts and suddenly I beleived a key for the radar existed. My bad. Anyway, you could try verifying your game cache (Library > (Right click on CSGO) > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache)

Wait... are you sure there isn't a key for radar? I don't know which it is as I rely on muscle memory but once dead I can maximise and minimise the map with some key...

@zYTHRIL: I do that weekly for the most part, and it is still a re-occuring problem.

@ Spirit [VORTEX]: I looked through and didn't see anything. Besides shift is my crouch button. Plus it ONLY happens when I'm dead and spectating. I would think it'd be happening when I'm alive as well, no?

Please, tell me your secrets... Where would I even access this? I'm almost positive it's not listed in the key bindings option settings. Would you have to go into the actual game files or something?

I'm really not too sure then, you could always setup a bind in your autoexec which would execute the command line:
hideradar; drawradar
