Challenge Coins/Pins

I'm somewhat new to CS:GO Now, and I was wondering how I can collect coins and pins myself that are shown on your CS:GO profile in the lobbies? Any advice or tips on how to collect these easily? Thanks.

coins, you get them from the operations and pins, you buy them.

You can't collect old coins.

I mean, you can, but you REALLY shouldn't.

You get coins by purchasing Operation passes.

So you'd have to buy old Operation passes for like 10 dollars apiece just to get a stupid coin that does nothing.

Better to just wait until the next Operation (which should be in the next two weeks) and buy that. Then you'll get missions and drops and all sorts of neat stuff in addition to a stupid coin.

Pins are from ESL cologne tournaments. You buy them in packages and scratch off the codes. Or you buy them from people, but it's really over priced. And easy to get scammed.
