CS:GO Advertising just a question
Anyone got any ideas why you never see valve games (mainly CS:GO) advertised on the TV? I live in the UK and i get harrassed with tomb raider, halo and CoD adverts and i'd honestly love to even if it's just once, see a CS:GO tv add.

I'd imagine alot of people would say this will attract the wrong people, but end of the day we all know the games full of them anyway...

Becouse they re popular without advertising. And advertising games cost money.
Satellite TV advertising in the UK i know costs barely anything (advertised a few things on select channels my self so..). I just thought wouldn't it be sweet if you turned telly on in the run up to say the ESL majors or whatnot and there was a short advert for the event + CS:GO?

I just think CS:GO is one of the top FPS's in the fact that it's able to get people to invest 1000's of hours and 100's of pounds in it unlike other FPS's which do have a shelf life due to yearly iterations...

I think they just dont want to spend money for actually nothing, becouse csgo already has alot of people.
But it would be super cool to see just a litlle advert on television i can agree with that

There are still McDonald's adds :)

Valve doesn't want to spend the money into advertising. That's it.

Generally old or PC specific games don't get advertised, TV is more of a console kind of zone, it's more the big flashy publishers advertising fancy new exclusives with some financial assistance from the console manufacturers.
