ROCCAT® KOVA[+] lift off makes mouse crazy
ROCCAT® KOVA[+] 500hz 400dpi 2.04 sens atm.

I see people doing the lift off distance fix with scotch tape for example, I need to do it, it seems.
Can somebody tell me how? What tape I need etc.? I have an totally transparent thin tape and a not non-transparent more thick grey tape, what should I use?

Help.

If anyone has a ROCCAT® KOVA[+] and has fixed this issue please help
Is it a new one? Maybe its faulty. Try changing settings. Change balance. Ues it without the mousepad to see if the problem persists. Decsribe the problem rather than saying "malfuncion". What type of malfunction? If you wanna tape, use non-transparent. 5 minutes to check if it helps.
Here, you could wait 5 minutes or 5 years for an answer.

should be fine.

like this? :

i mean this guy is using his desk and the desk reflects the laser more than a mousepad would do.
just test the same on a random t shirt and compare it to your mousepad to see if its your mousepad.

if it acts similar the only thing u could do is using tape.

1-5mm lift off distance isnt that much.
my steelseries rival has ~4mm and i dont even notice it so you should be fine(with that sensitivity).

I have used it for a year, I was a noob in CS, so I really didn't know ♥♥♥♥ about mouses/monitor hz etc., now I have started to notice it, and now I really feel it. I also have a Steelseries Qck mousepad, tried on that one, still same problem. Tried different positions, with 1 tape at one end, with 2 tapes, having the laser peek out in the middle of them, all of them didn't work. Or I just did it wrong, or I.. I don't know.

It happens when I'm making a really fast swipe at one place in my mousepad, trying to turn a rapid left/right. If I swipe slowly then there is no problem, but if someone is behind me and it goes coco then I'm a goner.

Well you played a long time without even noticing it.
you shouldnt focus on it too much. i would recommend you to not think about it till and maybe buy a new one if u rly want to.

if i "roll" the mouse while lifting ofc it moves a bit. maybe your doing it wrong? ^^
but like i said, dont focus on it.

edit:
wait does the mouse wierd moves when u flick or when you lift?

Still, what is the malfunction? Cuz I dont understand. Maybe it's just a feeling. If you want to use tape you cover only half of a sensor (doesnt matter vertically or horizontally).
Try searching utube for its fix. Is it's 1 y.o. it still should be on the warranty.
Rebalance it (I think it has that weird option).
Try different dpi + sens.
Cant help any further.

Edit: once more -> check mouse settings, game settings, check raw_input 0/1, turn off acceleration (maybe this one is the reason).
