For me, the whole gameplay looks smoother.
but in your energy costs it will make a difference to run the vga at 144 fps...^^
its just the frequency at which the frames change on your Monitor lets say you stare at 1 mile or 1 kmh circling a house. you wont get 2kmh or 2 miles with 1000 hz it will still be 1 kmh or mile. same as with 60hz
your explained stuff . you would see stuff more early if you had 0,2hz vs 40hz yes. but anything 20hz+ wont make you see stuff more early.
But you will see a picture more "fluid" if you have a source with 144fps and a 144hz monitor its just more eye candy. it will look more "HD" how non techi folks would say.
Yeah same, it's quite often my 60hz friend tells me he didn't even see the dude I shot when peeking.
