Leaving cause of bad ping
So I played a few comp matches and I had the issue only twice of high ping, but it was really high (above 200) but I don't deserve to get a comp cooldown because I want to leave so my team will have a bot that can actually kill. So I had an idea that goes like this:
If a player in comp has more then 150 ping in 10 consecutive seconds, he is free to leave without cooldown. (it can also be 20 just an amount that doesn't allow people to leave cause of random spikes in ping)

I love you all Oct 17, 2015 @ 3:46am
You are leaving because your internet sucks. I don't see a problem here. It wasn't Valve's fault. Just yours.

Seriously, this is the worst idea I've heard in months. So if you don't want to play, you can just load up 150 youtube movies/or start to download something and you're free to leave? DEAR LORD. Use your brain man.

I understand that point, but what about when you are already ingame and you ping increases drastically? Nothing you can do. Maybe your internet service provider is doing maintence or something of the like? Or maybe there is a big storm outside and it damaged something in your connection? Whatever it is it isn't your fault really and most times you can't handle it without having to disconnect.

1st. no one will load 150 YT tabs just to leave a comp game in CSGO
2nd. when it comes to downloads it is something to think about. I ain't an internet expert by any means but I am 80% sure there is a way around it just have to figure it out.

My max ping is set to 100 (since because of my region the lowest I can get is 60 :steamsad:)
It just boosts itself during the game

But if they leave, the team gets a hard match to win. Why should they suffer and you don't. :(

Believe me when I say it is easier to win with a bot than someone who has 250 ping.
Players just appear out of nowhere and then kill you, atleast bots fight back.
And let me remind you that you can control them once you're dead.

People can exploit such a feature increasing the ping to leave matches without consequences,
I can see the horde of trolls , and all the toxic players start downloading files to get high ping and leave when they lose the first 3 rounds .-.

Come on , man, if your internet is bad don't play, and NO, ISP don't play with your connection every single day :v

Also BOT can be pretty terrible in high-skill games... And also in lower skill games where people don't know how to use it

The quality of your internet connection is YOUR responsibility.
In the end all that really happens was that you left a game, that's reason enough for a cooldown.
Stop crying and take it like a man.

Giving people a free card to leave a game is rediculous.
Leaving a game ruins it for the 4 people you leave behind, they are most of the times pretty much wasting their time finishing a game YOU ruined. There is no other solution than to punish you for doing so.

I am having the same problem and my ping before was really low and usual like less then 20, but Valve did something here in South America that the ping is now awful.
When I play with someone that has a low ping they are from somewhere else like north america.
And when I check people with bad ping they are from south america.
