Famas *Factory New* looks like *Field-tested* ?
guys, I noticed that every famas skin have scratches on it like field-tested or something even when its factory new,why valve don't fix that ? take Galil or other rifle for example.they look perfect as factory new. Famas Pulse is worst looking famas skin because of that.

This is because the base "skin" of the FAMAS has scratches. Decals that skins add are layered on top of the skins base... So even FN has the scratches that the base skin has.

Some famas skins look very worn by general. I think it's related to the finish style.

Check out the Djinn or Survivor Z, I think they don't have that.

I think those skins are new so they are more updated. its interesting, paint on them fades better than in other skins (older skins?)

Some paint jobs don't have real wear, they just get darker with lower quality.

The Djinn definitely has that, stained and case hardened knives I think, usp stainless...

Some of the new ones work normal though.

I love the FAMAS, but this is why I find it so hard to buy skins for it - they all look like crap because of the innate wear around the handguard
Wild Grant Oct 16, 2015 @ 2:10am
Yeah, Famas wear is excessive, pretty sure I have one of the best Pulses out there and it still looks MW.

I saw a battlescarred asiimov that looked pretty fine one time.

then i saw a factory new famas and went "surely theres been an error here..."

It is just one of CSGO's quirks.

certain skins are very sensitive to wear

It's all up to the original designer of the skin how he wants it to look, how much wear , etc.

This one is battle-scarred. Friend of mine has an even slightly better looking one.

Famas in particular has many skins that always have a huge amount of wear. But some don't have that. I'm very sure it's just the paint style/finish that affects this.
