Voice chat in competitive matches

Isnt anyone a bit bummed about how valve took out the ability to voice chat you opponent. i miss the little things, like saying good half. Or everybody collectively screaming at the end of a match when someone clutches. Sometimes i would ask people to make their best helicopter noise, and they would, it was good natured fun. Then, on occassion, you would hear a salty player on the other end, but it gave you a feel for who you were facing, and somtimes would make me more prone to try harder, because the guy on the other end is a jerk. all im saying is, i feel like i''ve lost half the community i talk to, the other five players; my opponents. Valve, please fix.

I don't see the problem? Half of the csgo players are complete asshats over the mic, well the ones I've heard. I just turned that ♥♥♥♥ off

yea.. those people do suck, but it was that part of the community i really enjoyed beating. and if they are complete ♥♥♥♥♥ you could always have muted them. but tottally i understand thanks for your input

Hmm did not know you could mute someone... I just turned off my VOIP because of those trolls playing music through their mic :/

I wish valve would just put an option in the settings to turn on voice chat for both teams, or just revert this change....

Right? I feel the same way. I liked talking to people, and see what charecters your facing off against. now it feels dry, and nonexistant, like LOL or something. ew, i just compared the game to LOL. I"M SORRY GABEN.
And that would be pretty nice as well, having an option in the menu to mute another team. i might use from time to time haha.

I like the update they did about not hearing/talking to the oppostion, the kids who play csgo these days are so toxic, salty and just butthurt really. Great update in my opinion.

yea but you cannot read tone of voice. there are obvious elements missing, and people often overlook chat because they are focused on the center of the screen.
