Yes, been an issue for years. The people/groups behind these use them to farm case drops, medals, and XP, then sell the accounts.

They're not all from China, but many are.

A lot of them are members of specific Steam groups, but Valve apparently has no interest in closing those few groups, and seemingly no ability to control what happens on their own servers.

(And later, the people who have bought these accounts are eventually banned, and show up here, posting "Why have I been banned?")

Yes, this is why there’s no working anticheat. Valve would lose millions of dollars in key money.

Not all of them are Chinese robots! These are the people who get the boxes through the bots and then sell them for money
However, I know a way to deal with bots, which is to kick a random person quickly and randomly the moment they enter the game, and the bots will click {F1} by default, so that they can keep kicking the bots out (but according to the code they will come back, which is toxic)
