The New CS2 Armory Pass is Predatory Monetization and we need to push back!!!
The Newly introduced CS2 Armory Pass is just a battlepass. But they are trying to push a monetization model where 5 passes can be bought at once. They are trying to set the pass price to 80$ which is way to much. To minimize the negative push back the divided the price into 5 parts which can be stacked so that any 1 person can spend 80$ if they want to. This will send a very bad message not only to valve but to other companies like Activision, EA, Ubisoft etc to try this tactic if we don't push back now. And for all the 80$ pass we don't even get some missions or different game modes like we used to in previous operations. It's just skins. For all the skin lovers I hope you know what consequences the whole community of gamers will face if we don't push back against this right now.

If people don't like it, don't purchase it.

We can push back by playing the game for free it's pretty easy actually.

I know that and its a way to let them know . But there are other ways to let them know like talk about it in forums and leave a review in game mentioning these things.

The issue is broader than just individual choices. If we want to send a strong message, we need to unite as a community and vocalize our concerns collectively. While playing for free is a valid way to express dissatisfaction, it might not be enough to make a significant impact.

And you think valve would care about the community options :steamlaughcry:
Think about what the helldivers 2 community did. Negative reviews blew up and lot of articles popped out reporting about it making it a huge issue which nobody can run from.

They are developers, they can do anything they want to their game. If they dont like some specific person they can Community ban them, if they make this moneymaker update they can. The community can't do anything. Either you obbey their Steam rules and bé quiet or gets banned.
Dude we are the customers. I get where you’re coming from—it can feel frustrating when it seems like developers hold all the power. However, community feedback does matter, especially when it’s vocal and united. While Valve can make their own decisions, they also rely on player engagement and satisfaction to keep their games thriving. If enough of us express our concerns, it can influence their approach.

Team Fortress 2 suffers from botting for 6/7 years and still valve did not banned the bot hosters.
That doesnot mean if we see something wrong going we are not going to raise our voices just because it does not work. we need to get united.

Valve will not listen to any complaints, the entire dev team approved of this cashgrab instead of a proper update. The only way customers can affect the course of a company is if they cause their profits to drop by not buying their slop. But good luck telling that to the gambling basement dwellers

Aight good luck. Hope the entire Community "fixes" valve's disaster scam attempt which I don't think valve would care that much.
Atleast I am trying to do something about it . I know there are people who wont even admit there is something wrong going here. You atleast know what going on is not good. If we let them know in the reviews and talk about it in reddit letting people know and tell them to take some action like we are doing it might make a difference man.

It’s true that if enough players choose not to buy into these monetization schemes, it could send a strong message about what the community values. It’s frustrating when companies prioritize profit over player experience, especially when there’s so much potential for meaningful updates and content. By just not thinking about all these people if in a review we let our displeasure known on a huge number it might work.
It's so funny how weird cheaters are. What is this post OP? WHy don't you just keep wasting your life cheating in video games instead of writing nonsense?

Why don't they perma ban you for cheating and buying stolen steam accounts then?
