Why bother wheelup/wheeldown when all your trying to do is avoiding on how to learn to time the spacebar perfectly in combination with your counter straffing which is required for good bhopping.
You might as wel just play on auto mode which is the standard mode on most bhop servers anyway so all you have to do is hold the spacebar but you will have to learn to counter straf which is actually useful for normal cs games.
Short: Yes, very useful especially the counter straffing part.
but if you are planning on using bhopping to your competitive advantage — it's dead, there is no competitive advantage at all, it's just as advantageous as running and shooting — you might hit a headshot across the whole map and it's harder to hit you, but most of the time you'll just die. same with bunnyhopping — each time you bhop, if you time it right, there's only a 50% chance* that it'll work and you won't lose your speed (it was exactly like that in csgo too before anyone says cs2 killed bhopping). if it really was beneficial pro matches would've looked more like quake or something
* there are ways to make bunnyhopping 100% consistent but they're not allowed, for example cheats can do that, and you can also do it by limiting your FPS to 32 but you can't do that using in-game instruments so that would require… injecting a frame-limiting DLL, it's just like what injecting a cheat looks like. Bandicam would do the job but you can get banned
yeah i didnt mention it but i was thinking about competitive ! :)
I'm not interested in having 100% consistent bhops but optimize movement & rotation speed as well as being just more comfortable with moving around the map
lmaoo the chair is decent
sorry, i wasnt clear ! I can hit sometimes maybe 4 bhops with the spacebar, but i'd love to optimize my movement / rotation in comp games :)
but that, yeah, comes only with practice…
for general movement I'd suggest you finding a friend who would find it fun to play 1v1 with you on a surf map, I legit had like 500 hours alone back in CS:GO with one of my best friends on surf_greatriver_2015 :D that really made my movement better.
also you can just run around empty maps training jumps and those sorts of things
yeah last night i played css until 4am just bhopping and surfing with a friend on css and it really made me wanna tryhard bhoping on cs2 as i think it can have a great potential in comp games :) ty for your feedback :D
