CSGO starts but doesn't show on the screen
As the title suggests, i am able to open CSGO but the game won't show on my screen. The game is interactable but its sort of "translucent". Started like 2 days ago and I cant recall anything out of the ordinary that I did in relation to CSGO settings.

Things that I tried that didn't work:
reinstall, verify, disable fullscreen mode optimization, reinstalling D3DX9_43, updating drivers, starting steam as admin, some launch options, messing around with scaling mode and custum res

Things that I tried and KINDA worked:
putting -window in launch options. The game starts and is interactable as usual but I dont want to play on windowed mode (yeah even fullscreen windowed) because I wont be able to play on my desired res (1728:1080 16:10). Though this confirms that the problem is in the fullscreen options or something related to it.
Another thing that kinda worked is setting csgo.exe compatibility settings to windows 8, everything starts as usual BUT it causes freezes and fps drops every like 3 secs. tried to play with it for like a day and its a nightmare. Tried capping fps and some random console settings that my teammates suggested, none worked. If someone has an idea on how to stop these freezes then Im fine with just playing on a windows 8 compatibility.

Thanks in advance!

If you dont think its relevant, why ask here then if you think youre already past that. Ive had all sorts of problems from A to Z and they all concluded in something software related that the producers mostly fixed in time, or something hardware related where you had to exchange something on the mainboard.

The first and only thing that popped to mind was the askew 16:10 resolution. try either popping on another monitor with a normal "16:9" or "4:3" or fidgeting with the one you already have and cope with the bars on each side. Maybe they forgot to write in the other resolutions i dont know

Yeah well when i ALT tab i get colour abrreviations immediately. When I alttab back in i get same or sound distortions. When i start NVIDIA shadowplay I get other errors. When windows updated my mouse started to bug out. It can be a LOT of things.
