how to play workshop map with friends?

Does anyone have a video tutorial recommendation for playing steam workshop map with friends? I saw on YouTube that it's quite complicated, can't we just play together in custom mode?

In the past, playing CS 1.6 using a unique map was fun. If you wanted to play with friends, just adjust to the same network.
