New CS2 update made 8GB of ram obsolete.

1. When I open CS2, low sys memory warning even though I have 8GB.
2. Joining low resource map such as D2 = insta crash (steam dies too)
3. Valve abandoned us budget gamers ;(

That is not true at all, I have 4 gb laptop, it can run CS2 fine, working smoothly.

Of course, unlike me, some people will not have important stuff in their local machine. I'm a working person, so I have avast AV installed, razer synapse too (I disabled when I want to play though). AND during idle my pc uses 3gb on idle (not sure why windows suck). Using Linux is out of question (CS2 on linux is awful currently).

You should consider buying more ram during the black Friday. There are always good deals on ram at that time. Or just buy used..

dunno man. 128gb ddr5 ram would make my 120gb ssd jealous because of size difference.

I recommend having 2 windows installations and dual boot between them, one for working (your current one), one for gaming, with minimal stuff running in the background.

CS2 on linux is fine by the way, I could even play it on Steam Deck
