I played with ~2KD in CS:GO for years and it didn't affect my trust factor at all, it was fine.
Also as far as I can judge in CS2 my TF is also fine.
If they had worse TF than mine, I'd face cheaters when playing with them.
Yet when I played with a random player from the "looking to play" section and got a trust factor warning message about them, both matches with that person had multiple rage-mode cheaters.
So no, that theory is false either.
My overall experience didn't change a lot, the only difference there are less very bad players in my matches in CS2 due to the bad ranking system (since even some GEs from CS:GO got Silver 2 in CS2).
Yet I don't have any other accounts to compare.
