The brightness is usually a issue but it can be solved in the game settings.
But it does scale less than in a usual PC monitor.
frequency, 60hz cause many people on pc plays at 144 or 240
The majority of gaming laptops have way higher than 60hz screens these days.
*minority
I did say gaming laptops, not potatoes. There are very few with less than 75hz, and most are 120hz and upwards at least.
These other people probably play in medium and default resolution. I play lowest 4:3 stretched. Mid to close range is a easy sight. Any further and it hurts my eyes. I've tried everything to help me out.
The closest I got to seeing small things was using the 'windows magnifier' and putting it on my crosshair. It doesnt work.
The main reason i can't see is mainly due to the anti-lasting. This pixels are a huge jumbled up mess far away.
Especially in mirage. When pushing B I can't see bench from the window because all the pixels are mixing with each other
