Battlefield vs CS
Felt like discussing this. A while ago I said I was stuggling with this game and that I do very well in battlefield, was told I was a noob and that battlefield takes no skill to play.

So I watched some videos from the Warowl and NiP to learn to play the game and have made a massive improvement! But what what makes the game noobish? In counter strike the game is all about managing that recoil and throwing them perfect nades that land in the same spot over and over again.

I am going to list on what I think both games have to offer and let you guys contribute to the discuusion but before I get started this is not a "this game is better" or "You suck for playing this game" so lets keep it constructive points you are making.

First off with Counter Strike!
1. You can't just hold down the trigger and must practise to manage your recoil, strafe correctly and land that headshot.
2. Team plays are massive in this game where teams will have a pre-set strat for each round and how they play it which is amazing how the pros do it!
3.The money system shows skill as players need know when and when not to buy to give them a chance in future rounds.

Next we have Battlefield
1. The scale of the game is bigger which means pre-set strats do not work in this game and the way the game changes all the time.
2. Players must choice a role and play effectively to support the whole team
3. Guns aren't the only threat! Tanks, choppers and jets are all there to take you out

The way the guns work in cs I feel aren't right, you don't strafe left and right to fire a gun plus the guns feel very inaccurate than they are in real life, you can shoot and move with an M4 with deadly accuracy. Is it easier to aim battlefield? You are right but that how guns work though.

So why do I love Counter Strike? Because to me it is a game in which you have to think of a game plan and execute it with the slightest mistake could cost you the round and it is very pricise!

Why Battlefield? For me this is more of a team game as players can't choice to buy any weapons and must comit to playing their role to the max potential, players have to heal, give ammo and fix vechicals and if that does that not happen then victory will not be yours.

Now for a side note for how I feel about both games, I personally feel both games take too many bullets to kill, how do you feel about this statement? Could just be because I came from ArmA and Flashpoint

Both games, Battlefield and Counter Striike, are very solid games. eachone revolves around a different theme. Counter Strike revolves around bomb defusal, while Battlefield revoulves around all out combat. Both of these games are very good in my opinion, they each have strengths and weaknesses

What is this team play you speak of in battlefield. I thought we were supposed to run around as one man armies and wipe the floor with everyone :squirtooh:

CS is the obvious answer.

Battlefield is dying a slow and painful death. BF3 was amazing, BF4 was a broken unplayable mess and by the time they supposedly fixed it I lost interest in the game entirely. Hardline isn't even BF, it's MoH with Battlefield slapped on the box.

Counter-Strike on the other hand is harder.
Facepalm, You try and domatate on BF as a noob like CoD. BF isnt easy. And iT REALLY isnt easy on PC.

While these games are very different, if we get down to just shooting, you will realize that CS is skill based, not point and click. CS takes practice and coordination between players, much more than I have seen in any battlefield game (I have in fact played both). While Battlefield does have recoil, it is just pulling the crosshair down.

Final outcome (IMO) CS takes many skills, Battlefield is just aiming.

Very different games. CS is competitive and BF is large scale realistic-ish war with vehicles and whatnot.

Old thread, but a good discussion. Battlefield is no where near as team based as CSGO. CSGO is amazing in the fact that you really do have to rely on your teammates and know the maps and callouts. I think CSGO is probably the most strategic fps out there.

Battlefield will always have a place in my heart because of the fun factor. I love jumping in choppers and trying to mow down as many people as possible. The amount of players also makes for a chaotic atmosphere like a war would be. It is no where near as strategic though. It can be strategic though with a team. However, you need a lot of people to join with for this.

Given the two games, I would choose CSGO for critical thinking, and Battlefield for fun.

I couldn't have put it any better myself :)

Strange players.... they think BF and CS are different games, while they love comparing them with COD, which is also a different game.

Battlefield depends the map. Infantry only + small maps, could be kinda COD- like - Aim and spray style. With vehicles, definitely need more support from teammates, etc.
Players enjoy "only in Battlefield'' moments or do crazy things, e.g C4 Jeeps, C4 Bikes, etc.
A lot of large maps for free roaming. And... OMG Levolution!! Best Graphics!!!

CS is a place where it fuels up your adrenaline. Not just a game about fast reaction and good aim. You have to work with your teammates, developing tactics. CS.. bad thing is lack of diverse gameplay. Most of us stick to active duty maps, mostly use AK, M4 and AWP. Although we can have fun with other maps and guns in non- competitive modes...
And... OMG Hot Knives!!! Best looking skins!!!
