Very little. Honestly, you are more likely to get the exact same skin over and over and over again than you will get a knife. lol It's possible, but VERY EXTREMELY rare.

In a case, it's never been confirmed, but a user who did an extensive study said the chances of getting a knife from any case is approximately 0.8%

There is no chances here,there is randomness. The first time i opened a crate i unpacked a Stattrack AK Blue Laminate (12 euros). For other people they got a karambit,or they just got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 0.2 mp9 skin.

I had unlocked 2 knives before.. Both when i was unranked or was silver rank, there were some theories about being more likely to unbox a good skin or a knife when silver rank. dont know if its true but that sounds realistic to me. After getting gold nova and higher the skins i open are just trash..

I'd like to think the prices will go down, but IMO I don't think they will anytime soon. After spending a couple of $100 on boxes I decided that if I want a sick rare skin its just better to buy it on the market.

I believe it's completely random, so it's not quite possible to give an estimate of the likelihood of getting a butterfly knife or any item for that matter.
