DUST 2 100% more hard now?
There are Metal Doors on Dust 2 now.

What you think about it?

I dont know yet.
You cant get shoot that easy with an AWP, and its harder for Wallhackers but you cant scan them anymore :8

I guess you're included with the babies that cried about skilled awpers hitting "Lucky Headshots" Through the old doors. Irony at its best.
I only play competitive, and whenever I play dust 2, no one says "NOOB YOU MISSED", but every ♥♥♥♥♥ screams "YES" when they make a shot. It gets boring and lucky. It's not even skill. I didn't even complain about the doors, as I said I come here from cs 1.6 and css, I got used to it. It happens that someone gets a lucky hit through the doors, and I got some too. I just think it's fair for the ct side to avoid being dinked to low hp every time they cross.
I don't see how you can base such a thing on luck. Its called timing. Which, last I checked required a level of skill to master. Ask any SMFC. Or even a LEM. They will tell you the same. IF they even played on D2 to begin with. I agree that it was stupid to get legged for 91 or some ridiculous amount of damage. However, Smoking mid and crossing, or flash picking over the doors was a simple solution. I literally had 100% success awping players crossing if I aimed through the door. And maybe like 64% if I tried to get them crossing through the middle. So yes, it was a little awkward. Hence I didn't play the map. I do want to add though, if CT smoked off mid doors, My success rate in hitting a shot went down dramatically.

The auto isn't a one shot period. So why would it one shot you through the door? Even getting dinked would drop you down to maybe 20 hp

this. but the auto wasn't a big problem because any decent awper will wreck the guy spamming with the auto, the issue is getting 1 shot awped through the door to the body; so they just decided to remove wallbanging altogether. I'm pissed because the AK can't wallbang for ♥♥♥♥ anymore

The problem with smoking mid as a ct is that your team mate has to make that cross before the smoke actually goess off or if it's a b rush the terrorists ae already throwing a smoke in b and flashing before he gets somewhere at back of site. He can get to car but car is not a good place to watch a b rush, and if it's a 3 1 1 CT strat then one player in b simply cannot be staying at car, he has to have a view in the tunel to see t's in time and mostly because it's easy to kill them if they're in the tunel and not outside in b. Yes sure, smoking mid works wonders, but again if you have someone who doesn't know how to smoke perfectly your cat is blocked and your mid too. Then you give your t's full access to cat, mid and b ( assuming your player didn't make the "pray/hope" jump towards b before the smoke went off) You don't have to agree with me, I'm just pointing out from my experience. I was in a match recently where I got hit every single time through the doors and every time I was going b solo with like 5 hp. I got lucky that their strat was to push long because they had an awp, but if it was someone who could tell he 100% hit me, they would've taken over b easily. + a hit also slows you for a short moment, making you vulnerable to a spray through the door.

And I think developers did this change intentionally to worsen gameplay on Dust2, to lower Dust 2 popularity and force people to play on other CS:GO maps. Which I think that was the real goal of this change.

Finally someone agrees that it was a bunch of luck shots. To be fair, they already showed us that dust 2 is still the most played map atm, so you could be right, but I also believe they did it to promote gameplay that is fair. I always felt like it's easier to shoot from t spawn to ct mid with an awp, and most shots I got as a ct were through the door because it was just hard to peek t spawn. T's always had the door and actual sight advantage.

Well a few people said they're gonna stay away from d2 now since it's not "fun" anymore. Also, mcflurry, I think dust 2 is the best map, you just don't see every league match on dust 2 being a mid door spam the way we do in competitive. I think this calms all the cod 12 year olds and should help the map be fair.

I agree. Dust 2 is a pitiful map. Always has been. Even before this "Game Changing" update.

I agree. I feel like it was done to force players who used D2 as a crutch to play something else. I still have Nuke and Train :DD

That's so stupid. Maybe if they fixed the amount of damage you take when tagged crossing from 99 to what it used to be 50-70 dmg. Lame, bad choice.

After playing for a few hours, my opinion has changed........the pros don't outweigh the cons for me anymore...... Even though it remedies the 1 body shot awp problem, banging the doors with ak and m4 does very little damage.....it takes away a lot of the essence of what makes dust 2 "dust 2"....... I hope there is a way they could make mid doors like it was b4 the july 1st update (damage and penetration wise), without changing game play soooo drastically as these doors..... I'm starting to miss the wooden doors also lol....

Like every big update... when one big problem is fixed, the "fix" creates other problems....i hope these metal doors are a temporary patch up and not permanent...... i wish they would focus on one or 2 serious problems at a time and get those sorted out instead of making such big updates that introduce more issues
Yea, the old version was much better... put the doors back to wood.
