Placement Matches? Do really well, but lose.

I've just started to play competitive and im a little confused about the ranking system?

I know that you have to WIN 10 games and that counts towards your rank. But what happens when I get a really high score but lose the game. (33/16)

If someone could just explain how the placement matches go that would be very appreciated :D

As far as i know your score gives you some points too. So even if you lose, as long as you have a really good score it isnt that bad.

Just win 10 games and then you'll find out. I suppose losses will contribute to your score in some way, positive or negative, but it doesn't matter. Just win 10 games first!
