All about VAC.
Since CS2 was released, Valve has not solved its most serious problem which is cheating players. But during the CSGO era, Valve had the brilliant idea of making their game free, as the number of online players was decreasing and Valve was so proud that they couldn't leave their main game out of the top 10 active players online daily.

The game was cheap, with 5 dollars you could buy the game and create your own cheats and distribute them on the internet or simply sell them if you were an expert hacker. People who used cheats were banned because Valve constantly updated its Anti-Cheat and at some point banned that player. However, after many years of CSGO, many hackers already knew exactly how VAC worked, knew about the updates and always warned their buyers that they should not use their cheats at certain times.

With the arrival of CS2, Valve promised and released demo videos of what VAC Live, or rather, VAC 3.0, would be like, and even so, months and months went by and the anti-cheat didn't work properly. But do you know why it doesn't work? I'll tell you two reasons.

1. Hackers created and perfected the VAC bypass.
Bypass is a mask that prevents VAC from detecting the cheat that is being used. The cheater enters the game without worrying about injecting the cheat. What does he do? He turns on the bypass and then chooses the cheat related to the bypass and does whatever he wants. Since this game no longer has Overwatch, it is impossible to report in-game and this suspicious player appears in OW.

2. Valve doesn't care.
Will a company like Valve turn a blind eye to the marketing of cheats on the internet? For +10 years, they didn't do the minimum to try to take down these sites or simply try to go to court like Ubisoft did. But of course, it's a never-ending war and that's why Valve no longer cares about spending its money to maintain its anti-cheat.
How many third-party games get Valve's Anti-Cheat? 0.
________________________________________________________

About users who will say it is crying or low trust factor.

This doesn't exist, it's Valve's thing to trick your mind. Anyone can join a group of friends with a new account and start using cheats to climb the group's ranks. Most of the people who use cheats are players with recent accounts, those accounts that are barely 2 years old. Most of them also tend to play two games a day or three times a week depending on the situation, as they don't want to run the risk of being banned and they certainly receive instructions when they buy cheats online from a website or forum.

So the only thing I can tell you is to NEVER spend money on this game. Don't keep buying anything else, because the only people who buy are those who play on closed or rented servers, because playing on public servers is 100% obvious that you will stumble upon some cheater. Valve doesn't care about regular players, remember that. Tournaments don't allow cheaters, and also, stop watching these tournaments. Don't waste your time and don't give them money either. Because your audience is important to them (Valve, etc).

The game was never free, it was free for a period of 1 year and a half or two years.

I can see arguing semantics is your forte.

He meant that the main mode that the majority of people play, which is ranked/premiere. Modes that are behind a paywall.

It'd be nice if you have someone the benefit of the doubt and stopped trying to pick apart every statement.

It's without merit.

Dude, are you seriously wasting your time saying this? like, don't you know that now you need to be Prime to be able to play competitive matches? So, during the time that this game became free, you just had to reach level 21 and you would get the game on your account. But before Prime, and I'm saying at the beginning of CSGO, this game cost 5 dollars.
Why do you try to waste your time trying to fix something so useless?
Even if you pay, I don't know, 10 or 20 dollars for this game, the game still suffers a lot with the amount of users using cheats. Furthermore, it is much worse than CSGO, at least CSGO had ban waves that banned players but as I said before, since this game became FREE anyone can study hacking and create their own cheat also learning how to create their own bypass.

CS:GO was NOT always free, in fact it was pretty expensive when it launched. It became F2P when Danger Zone was added.
