14700K owners... What's your FPS?
I’m thinking about upgrading my CPU to the i7-14700K or KF to play CS2.

Right now, my FPS is usually around 160–220, but I’m aiming for 300–400 FPS. Do you think the i7-14700K can get me there? If not, what would you recommend?

This will be my last CPU upgrade for a while, so I need something that can handle all games without any issues. My current CPU is holding me back, especially in CPU-heavy games, so I’m looking for the best option to fix that.

My current specs:
i5-12400f
RTX 4070
24gb 3200mhz

if you don't mind upgrading more, go for AM5 and either go for a 7800X3D or 9800X3D, I myself have a 5800X3D and I'm comfortably getting 400-500FPS in a regular competitive match most of the time

i recommend i9 15990K

you dont need 400 fps, i bet i can beat the best with 60 fps even when im used to play with 200+ fps for as long the latency is the same !

you are not faster than 160 ms anyways .. because if you are that fast, then you need a guiness record for sure !

My fastest is 24 ms in reaction time a one out a million shots, im just lucky it was recorded !

Like the guy said, It's not worth sticking with Intel, go with the AMD's 7800X3D or 9800X3D since its literally the best for CS2, and won't require much to change, just a new motherboard and a CPU

Intel runs better though and dont need a tower of a cooler, i bet it can even run with some of the smallest cpu coolers, if you dont overclock it that is !

Ya, if we're speaking before the 5800X3D then yes, otherwise than no. And where the hell did you get the info that you don't need a tower of a cooler to run intel? you are obliged to run a 360 aio on an intel since it produces more heat and consumes more power than AMD. You need to update your information.

If I'm rich, sure I'll swap the entire cpu and mobo, unfortunately I'm not. So I can only buy Intel.

12400 just not for cs2. Ryzen 5600 with good RAM better in CS2 and Dota2

i have 13700k it is overkill for cs2. you can try 14600kf or AMD Ryzen X3D processor
