What real CS players do not understand about CS2 and most modern games
Apologizes in advance as this is just a post family thanksgiving time rant. Please skip if you do not want to read one man's silly thoughts.
The Counter-Strike you grew up with and loved is gone. I see so many posts asking valve to fix the cheating problem. Valve is no longer a company that tries to make games, it is a company that only tries to make money. CS2 constantly has the most concurrent players even with the cheating issues. This alone tells the company they do not need to fix any cheating problem, but that they need to implement more items in game that can make them money.
This is not a Valve specific problem, this is an industry problem. And to them it is not a problem at all. When 10s of thousands of people play a game and purchase danglies to hang off a gun but only a small percentage care about the cheating and actual gameplay a company will cater to the 10s of thousands that want to play dress-up and not the few that want a real game.
It is the sad truth, but those of you who want to play a real game with real competition are now the minority. The goal in games like these is now to have the most colorful knife or the coolest graphic on a gun.
I too had to come to this realization and also not be upset about it because at the end of the day it is a company's job to make money and this is now where the money is.
Spread joy and love to all. Leave hate at the door. :kclove:

1) the playercount doesn't mean anything since it's mostly botnets farming drops and accounts to resell.
2) yes cheating is an industry issue which has been around since forever but it drastically got worse in recent years. Companies would rather lie and do PR stunts instead of actually tackling the cheating issue which leads to echo chambers like Faceit where everyone cheats and cries about others cheating.
3) you're roleplaying as an old player on a bought account that doesn't even have a single match of CSGO or CS2 played and justify people cheating by saying it's a normal behavior.

Bad troll, 1/10

You can believe what you want. I have played CS since 2001. I was in a CAL league and participated in LAN tournaments when you were just a baby. Hope you are swell.

I like community servers because there are many different modes, they are fun and I find a lot of friends, everything else doesn't interest me

competitive, casual, deathmatch - playing them is pointless

new operation, coop missions, would be interesting and fun

Oh yes I hate the fact that I have to pay weekly for the ability to buy AWP, AK and M4 in my matches or I'm forced to play with a FAMAS/Galil.
Also Half-Life: Alyx, their newest made game, is a microtransaction slop just to make the most money out of it with deliberately not enough ammo so that you have to go and buy more ammo and weapon upgrades for real money. (sarcasm, if it needs to be stated)
