ATM it doesn't matter whether you play prime or the free version in my opinion.
No matter what rating you play at, everyone will cheat.
As long as Valve doesn't do it right, there won't be any improvement in my opinion.
I currently prefer to play faceIt or Esportal.
In the end it is your decision what you want to play
In theory, CS2 Prime would be less likely to have cheaters. I'm thinking about buying Prime but my fear is that the two will be exactly the same.
They say that Valve is creating a new anti-cheat, which I really hope.
All the FPS games I've played in my life have absolutely ALL ended because of cheaters.
I hope Valve doesn't let this happen.
Valve is a BILLIONAIRE company, the containment of cheaters has to be a decent anti-cheat. So many smaller companies that have such good anti cheats, not to mention the pride felt by Valve in not using third party anti cheats. Shameful.
I'm playing against people ragehacking so they can get a number to pretend it is reflective of their skill. Running cheats = no skill, so they should be happy with just the number 0
Yet they cheat and get up to like 25k or so and they think they're the best "players" ever
And they don't look legit at all.
If they detoggle...I can tell that if they tried faceit and used their raw skill, they would not rise up in the ranks at all...and they would be reported for griefing.
Premier and regular comp per map is just....not worth anything. Oh boy there's a large number, means nothing! Especially since valve said they would never allow anyone to qualify for any future events or tournaments for being at the top of the Premier leaderboard
Pretty sure they decided "never again" after they had to disqualify and permanently ban like 200 players who "qualified" because they were all cheating.
That kind of sucks....qualifying for a tournament with your actual likeness for everyone to know and then everyone finds out it was just a cheater....Idk why people do that...I guess if they want to ruin their irl reputation, that's a good way to do that.
