What skins should I get?

I want to build a decent inv and I have gotten some tips from people with big inv and they all say I should buy skins directly instead of cases and rn I have 40 usd so do u think I should get a skin (and what skin if so) or save up more and buy a more expensive skin? I know it’s not that much money but I’m still in school with no work so yea and still young asf

u should prolly buy a skin you like

some skins are cheap and still look good, and i would just get skins for main weapons so like usp-s, glock, AK and m4. or what weapon u use most, maybe p250/deagle,awp,etc..
and me personally would say get some cheap skin which still looks good (u have to know what u like), with a nice sticker craft on it

buy skins with ur fav colors... everyone got their own taste :)

dont follow trends or what people tell u... its ur inventory and u will play with the skins :)

It comes down to your preference, the skins are to enhance your experience after all.
Opening cases is a gamble you are unlikely to win at, its much easier to just buy what you want from the community market, that said roll the dice if you're feeling lucky.
There are sites where you can see all of the skins for each weapon by searching things like "cs2 ak skins" in google, that may help you get a better idea of what skins are available and the current prices even.

save up for a knife u can build a decent skin inv for like $20 later, atleast the knife will hold some trade weight.

What i did in my early days is pick 1 or 2 matching colors and build a inv off them
