700fps vs 250fps?
Hey guys I've been playing cs for 10 years, and I never had high end PC, now I have around 250-300fps on 240hz, and today ill get new setup which will get me around 600-700fps, will there be a difference since its a lot lower input lag(latency)? I heard that it gets you a bit of an advantage especially in smokes where my fps dropped to around 170-180fps.I have 240hz monitor and was 3k elo faceit. Thanks for answers!

Yeah I mean its obviously a difference but I've been reading some reddit posts that "there is no significant difference between 250 and 600fps" and I think its just bs..

You'd probably get better 1% lows and less microstutters so the game feels smoother

It does help, but make sure you limit your fps between 250 and 300, otherwise you'll get lagspikes and huge fps drops which will make your new experience worse than the one you had before

The difference in frame time from 240, and 700, is about 3 milliseconds. What can you do differently with 3 milliseconds?
MAXE Nov 22, 2024 @ 5:22am
3 ms is alot .. and i dont understand the players that is able to even play this game with pings over 70 ms .. it is not playable when you have a ping that high !

Average Human Reaction Time is 200ms or higher, 3ms is not gonna do anything.

700-600fps are you play 720p in low, even 4090 can't reach 600-700 in 1080p high.

if CS2 is anything like CSGO in 1080p the bottleneck is always CPU not GPU.
