linux - extreme stutter after a few games
since the update i've been playing casual and on about the third game i'm getting very bad stutter. it's probably 0.5 fps. i usually get over 250fps and offline get about 400. quitting and restarting the game fixes it. this never happened before the update. my gpu and cpu temps are still good - less than 70 degrees. i know this because i have mangohud running in the background. i did notice for awhile that gpu usage is very very low where usually it's 99%. it would go back to 99% but the stuttering was just as bad. any help would be appreciated. thank you!

can't expect stability from "open source" nor safety

linux and stable haha.
On the server side absolutely.
However the linux userspace is a complete mess.
Wayland is an awful replacement for the awful legacy xorg system.
The desktop experience is a 2nd class citizen on linux,
and native linux game dev is something only the factorio devs can get right.

( I use arch btw )

I played and I don't have any performance issues in Casual. It's running solid 150 to 200 FPS.
Gotha's lullaby Nov 26, 2024 @ 11:26am
I get stutters on Vulkan driver, not just in CS, but in Doom and Cyberbug7022 as well after some time spent in game. The inputs (key presses, holds and releases, mouse movement) start to cause stutters, fps drops and high frame times up to 55ms.

No issues using other drivers, but CS2 uses Vulkan and other variations on linux, if you're running scout runtime, so until the driver itself gets fixed, we're out of luck.

After 4/5 matches, I have big stutters, when I loose a round, I can see theres no stutters from other player POV, I have to restart the game and all becames stable again, they want to expand the steam OS market ? Do good portage before, Valve.

LD_PRELOAD="" %COMMAND%
to your launch options. it is not just cs2 it's alot of vulkan games gotha's lullaby was right.
