I mean... I guess it helps when trying to detect Cheaters... But it just throws some people off when seeing other view models...
I see people with the View Model like they're playing Quake and then I do sorta make fun of the player(s) which tends to Trigger them. and When I do see enemies and these types of players don't It makes me feel embarrassed.
Plus it tells me the player might either be just trolling or is just too low of a Skill Level and hasn't developed any Game Sense Awareness
Right... But you gotta remember... There's "Other Peripherals" you gotta consider than just "Vision".
Audio is a big factor.
Ever notice you can hear the sound of the glass bottle of a Molotov when it breaks? or when it gets ignited you hear the fluid in the bottle?
Directional Audio can give you so much more than a View Model too. idk how many times I've played a game on Dust 2 and sitting B-Site Car and hearing all the footsteps in Tunnels and calling it our to my team to peak Lower from Cat and peak B Doors from Mid or Tunnels from window. Same applicable if you're a Cat Player playing Arch on B-Sire Mirage and you hear Apt/Under.
I remember too when CS2 1st Came out and there was the nonsense of the "Peaker's Advantage". All of us from CS had trained to hold your crosshair as tight to hugging the corner you were playing to get the instant peak. Now You gotta intentionally play more of an off-angle and not as tight just to prefire anyone.
This is where the View Model throws me off. Because I'm still watching the player the Resolution I'm playing in. But it's their View Model and I have no Idea what Resolution they have for that View Model. Maybe they'er on 4:3 Stretched Res with a Quake View Model for the fat body and Max FOV Idea? Or they're on Native Res with an odd View Model for another game they played a lot more before coming into CS.
Either Way... I think it's gonna be weird for the next Major to watch Pros and maybe even get the Opinions of the Casters and what they think of the View Model Switching on them. I know Casters have talked about Skins that Pros are using. But the View Model might be an odd 1 for them
