My video settings reset every time I play the game but every other setting persists [solved]

1. Do you have GeForce Experience installed? It might be resetting your video options to "recommended" ones all the time, it has happened to my friend before, we couldn't figure out the issue so my friend had to completely uninstall the application and now updates drivers manually (by downloading them off their website)
2. Maybe your video settings file is somehow read-only?
Go to your Steam installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) and go to \userdata\(your Steam3 ID)\730\local\cfg\
, open Properties of the "cs2_video.txt" file and see if it's "Read-only" attribute checkmark is checked. If it is, uncheck it
"(your Steam3 ID)" is 83236591, I obtained it with steamid.uk

I have an AMD system so no
